Nicole + Luis

Canine wedding guests + a rocking dance party

Nicole and Luis met in high school. A few years of friendship evolved into dating; ultimately, they fell in love. Living on Long Island meant the duo often traveled into the city on weekends, so it only made sense to hold their wedding celebration there, too. They knew that Eventi was perfect from the moment they entered its lobby, and they especially appreciated having a dream rooftop ceremony in which their beloved dog Bo could play a part. The happy couple recommends Eventi to anyone looking for “a truly unique, chic, and personalized affair with incredible food, NYC views, and attention to detail.” They conclude: “It’s pure NYC magic!”

Memorable Details

Prior to the ceremony, the couple took pictures outside of the hotel with a vintage taxi (The Checkered Cab Company). They felt that Telmo and his crew from Natural Expressions NY truly captured their joy and excitement as they glimpsed each other for the first time and snapped memorable photos in the midst of Big Apple traffic.

“Eventi is completely different from any other wedding venue I’ve seen. It’s contemporary, inviting, and a complete reflection of NYC’s energy!”

The couple found that Eventi staff members made them feel like more than guests—but also an extension of their family.

The ceremony took place on the outdoor terrace, where Pedestals Florist had created a beautiful branch and orchid archway under which the bride and groom said their vows. Reverend Thomas Fiorello mixed “the perfect combination of funny, romantic, and sentimental” into the affair, and the couple loved having Bo there—decked in a mini tuxedo to match his human dad.

The reception turned into the ultimate dance party; the dance floor wasn’t empty for one moment. The couple gushed, “We spent the night dancing and eating! What could be better!?” The delicious dessert by Cake Alchemy featured Bo, and in lieu of favors, the couple made donations to Best Friends Inc. (to also honor Bo). As guests began to leave, more photos were taken on the terrace—even capturing the Empire State Building illuminated in red.
